How to clean your aviator scarf by hand-washing. Use a delicate product like Woolite. If your scarf has a stain, you can use a stain remover.(test the stain remover first in a non conspicuous spot). You first have to blot the stain using a paper towel. After this, you may gently rub the solution on the scarf using a damp cloth. Rinse off the solution after a few minutes.

For regular washing, soak the scarf in a lukewarm solution of water and mild detergent. You may also add one-fourth cup of vinegar in your solution to make it more effective in cleaning out the stains. Gently rub the scarf while in the soapy mixture. Rinse off using cool water. When you do this regularly, your scarf will always look brand new.
